Deep-level underground gold mine operating between 3,160m and 3,740m below mine datum, currently the deepest mine in the world. Acquired from AngloGold Ashanti in October 2020. Mines the Ventersdorp Contact Reef and Carbon Leader Reef. LoM extension approved in February 2024, ensuring at least another 18 years up to 2043/2044. Ore processed at the Mponeng gold plant.
