Description
As at 28 February 2025
Surface man-made copper oxide rock dump located at the historical Rietberg Mine site, within the O'Okiep Copper District. Composed of unprocessed oxide copper mineralised material assumed to originate from copper oxide cappings or gossans in the sulphide orebody, retained as waste during historical sulphide mining (1852-2007) and now recoverable through leaching. Reconciliation against prior-year (1 March 2024) opening balance showed a depletion of (26,293) t @ 1.32% Cu (-0.347 kt contained Cu) during FY2025 reflecting actual processing. Resource estimation methodology is bulk sampling via daily production data. Treated under OCC permits at the Nababeep SX-EW plant; CCO ownership (no mining royalty under MPRDA as moveable asset).
