100%-owned producing underground uranium-vanadium complex in San Miguel County, Colorado (Uravan Mineral Belt). Comprises the Sunday, Carnation, St. Jude, West Sunday and Topaz mines. Originally developed by Union Carbide for approximately US$50M in the 1970s, acquired by Western in 2014 from Energy Fuels Holding Corp. and restarted underground mining in 2019 (paused for COVID-19, re-started in 2021). High-grade ore is being mined and stockpiled. NI 43-101 Technical Report dated July 7, 2015 by A. Adkins. The Topaz Mine is currently permitted and scheduled for re-permitting. Vanadium grades estimated at the historic White Mesa mill shipment average V2O5:U3O8 ratio of 6:1. In September 2025 Western delivered approximately 1,600 tons of mined material from the SMC to the White Mesa Mill under a uranium ore purchase agreement with PRM (deliveries up to 25,000 short tons).
