Open-cast mineral sands mine located along the west coast of the Western Cape province, South Africa. Operations take place in two distinct areas known as the East and West Mines, recovering lightly cemented materials to about 40 meters. Ore is conveyed to two primary concentrator plants and a secondary concentrator plant to produce heavy mineral concentrate. A major mine development project is in the execution stage to extract deeper lying ore in the East Mine, expected to be operational in 2026.
