María Elena is a caliche operation in the El Toco area of Chile producing iodine and nitrate products. The operation began iodine production in the second half of 2025 with a nominal capacity of 1,600 metric tons of iodine per year; 40 metric tons of iodine were produced in December 2025. Nitrate salts from María Elena are harvested at Coya Sur for finished-product production.
