Combination of the former Texas City and Galveston Bay refineries and MPC's largest refinery following completion of the STAR project in 2023, which added 40 mbpcd. Processes a wide variety of crude oils into gasoline, distillates, NGLs and petrochemicals, heavy fuel oil and propane, with export market access. On-site cogeneration facility has 1,055 MW of electrical production capacity and 4.3 million lb/hr of steam; ~49% of 2025 power generated was used at the refinery with the remainder sold to the grid. Produces fuel-grade coke.
