Description
As at 31 March 2026
Głogów Copper Smelter and Refinery (HM Głogów) is one of three downstream metallurgical facilities of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., processing copper concentrate from the Polish underground mines into electrolytic copper plus precious-metals by-products (silver, gold). The complex includes Głogów I and Głogów II copper smelters with a Precious Metals Plant and Tank Hall. In Q1 2026, design work continued on gas-passage modernisation between the flash furnace and recovery boiler at Głogów I, and on a new metallurgical production line at HM Głogów. A maintenance shutdown is planned for Q3 2026 (driving the inventory buildup in Q1).
