Description
49% joint-venture interest in Befesa Silvermet Turkey (BST), an electric arc furnace dust (EAFD) recycling business operating the Befesa Silvermet Iskenderun (BSI) plant in Türkiye. BST acquires EAFD from Turkish steelmakers and processes it via Waelz-kiln technology to recover crude zinc oxide. JV partner Befesa Zinc S.A.U. (51%, operator) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Befesa S.A. (Frankfurt: BFSA), the global market leader in EAFD recycling. The business returned to a dividend-paying position in FY2025 following strong operational performance. No mineral reserve / resource disclosure applicable (processing facility, not a mining asset).
