Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation (RNO) — lateritic nickel-cobalt open-pit operation 550 km south-east of Perth, Western Australia. Owned 75.7 % by First Quantum and 24.3 % by POSCO via FQMAN. Mining licences cover ~338 sq km. Operations placed on care & maintenance (C&M) in 2024 due to weak nickel prices and high operating costs. Hale-Bopp, Halleys, Shoemaker-Levy and Nindilbillup are the principal deposits (Bandalup Ultramafics).
