PTFI's greenfield copper smelter and precious metals refinery (PMR) in Gresik, Eastern Java, completing FCX's Indonesia downstream integration. Smelter construction completed 2024; an October 2024 start-up fire required repairs; operations recommenced May 2025 and first copper cathode was produced in July 2025. Capacity to process ~1.7 million tonnes of copper concentrate per year. PMR commenced gold production December 2024 and operated on a limited basis in 2025, primarily processing PT Smelting anode slimes (1,900 t of anode slimes processed in 2025). Smelting suspended in Q4-2025 on limited concentrate availability after the September 2025 mud rush; concentrate shipments expected to recommence in H2-2026.
