As at 31 December 2025
FCX-owned and operated copper smelter at the Miami, Arizona mining operation; operating for more than 100 years with multiple upgrades. Processes copper concentrate primarily from FCX's U.S. copper mines; by-product sulfuric acid is a significant source of acid for FCX's U.S. leaching operations. Subject to EPA's Copper Smelter Rule; in October 2025 a presidential proclamation exempted the smelter from compliance deadlines for two years while EPA reconsiders the rule.
