Wholly owned block-cave underground primary molybdenum complex 42 miles west of Denver, Colorado; in operation since 1976. Porphyry molybdenum deposit with molybdenite as primary sulfide. Mine and mill connected by a 10-mile conveyor tunnel under the Continental Divide plus a 5-mile surface conveyor; concentrator design capacity ~32,000 t/d; capacity to produce ~15 Mlb/yr molybdenum. Majority of concentrate shipped to Fort Madison, Iowa. Operations encompass ~17,200 acres. Net PP&E $312 million.
