Description
As at 31 December 2025
Underground mine adjacent to the Grasberg mill site. Tabular, near-vertical skarn ore body ~1,200 m along strike and 800 m down dip, 20-120 m thick; mined by blasthole stoping with delayed paste backfill; ore trucked to a jaw crusher. ~73 pieces of mobile equipment. Restarted in late October 2025 after the September 2025 district mud rush incident (Big Gossan itself unaffected). Ore milled averaged 6,000 t/d in 2025, 8,000 t/d in 2024, 7,900 t/d in 2023.
