Wholly owned open-pit copper and molybdenum complex in Yavapai County, west-central Arizona, ~60 miles west of Prescott; in continuous operation since 1945. Porphyry copper deposit with chalcopyrite/molybdenite primary sulfides and chalcocite secondary mineralization. Concentrator with 77,100 t/d design milling capacity, SX/EW plant (~9 Mlb/yr cathode from low-grade stockpile leach) and a pressure-leach plant for molybdenum concentrate. First major U.S. mine with fully autonomous haulage (33 autonomous 235-t trucks, conversion completed 2025). Reserve life exceeds 80 years. FCX has defined an expansion to more than double concentrator capacity, adding 200-250 Mlb/yr of copper (~$3.5B incremental capital, ~$4.00/lb incentive price, 3-4 year build); studies being updated ahead of a potential 2026 investment decision. Net PP&E $1.4B.
