Solvent Extraction Electro-Winning (SX-EW) plant at Nababeep, producing copper cathodes from oxide rock dumps and TSFs. Received first phase upgrade in H2 FY2024 with production improvements seen in H1 FY2025. Lower recoveries led to a temporary suspension of cathode production in September 2024, and the plant was placed on a care-and-maintenance programme during H2 FY2025. A second phase upgrade is planned that is expected to significantly increase output; requires further expansion capital. The expansion capex will only be incurred once the concentrate operations are at sustainable level. R113 million impairment charge recognised in FY2025 financial statements.
