Access is via slope and shaft, utilizing continuous mining units and room-and-pillar methods. The property is controlled through fee ownership and leases, with coal transported by overland belt to a barge loading facility on the Ohio River. The preparation plant has a throughput capacity of 2,700 tons of raw coal per hour.
