Description
As at 30 June 2025
Lithium-ion battery recycling plant in McCarran, Nevada that processes end-of-life batteries and manufacturing scrap. The integrated process shreds feedstock and produces a black mass that is then treated through a bulk hydrometallurgical process to remove impurities and recover high-value battery metals. The facility is being commissioned in phases; the first phase, commissioned in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024, recycles battery materials into products including copper, aluminum and steel and produces black mass, with the refining process focused on recovering nickel, cobalt and lithium.
