Manganese (Samancor JV)

Anglo American's manganese interests held through the Samancor joint venture with South32 (South32-operated): 40% of GEMCO on Groote Eylandt in Australia's Northern Territory (open-pit ROM plus Sands tailings retreatment) and 29.6% effective interest in the Hotazel mines (Mamatwan open pit, 11-year life; Wessels underground, 43-year life) in South Africa's Kalahari manganese field. Multi-jurisdictional rollup - primary jurisdiction Australia; also includes South Africa. 2025 ore production of 3.0 Mt rose 30% as GEMCO returned to normalised rates following the 2024 tropical cyclone Megan suspension. Segment underlying EBITDA $127M.
