Description
Single oil-producing field located approximately 85 km northwest of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Property covers 269 km2 and includes the Chiya Khere Mountain. Hosted in fractured Jurassic and Cretaceous carbonates within the Zagros fold belt. Acquired initial interest in 2010; increased to 50% in August 2024 following the acquisition of TAQA Atrush and subsequent sale of 25% to HKN Energy IV, Ltd. Held in a joint venture with HKN (25%, operator) and the KRG (25% carried interest). First oil achieved in July 2017. Installed production facilities have a capacity of over 36,000 bopd. Production currently limited to local sales due to the closure of the Iraq-Türkiye pipeline.
