Cuajone

Open-pit copper-molybdenum porphyry mining unit in Moquegua, southern Peru, operated by the SPCC Peru Branch; conventional drill/blast/haul open-pit operation feeding a 90,000 t/d concentrator, currently operating at full capacity. A spur railway connects Toquepala and Cuajone operations and carries concentrate to the Ilo smelter. Recent investments include HPGR optimization ($54.2M in 2023, $18.2M in 2024) and a new concentrator maintenance workshop. One of SCC's S-K 1300 material properties (TRS Exhibit 96.1).
