Rocanville potash mine in Saskatchewan - Nutrien's LARGEST potash mine. Conventional underground mining of Esterhazy Member (2.4 m thick zone). PotashCorp acquired from Sylvite of Canada in 1977. Major expansion 2013-2017 (third shaft + hoist enhancement + mine/mill expansion) brought nameplate to 6.5 Mtpa - the largest at Nutrien. 20-year mine life (327 Mt reserves at 16.480 Mt/yr avg mining rate - highest at NTR). 21.2% mill feed grade.
