Description
As at 30 June 2025
Lynas's flagship rare-earth mine and concentration plant in Western Australia, one of the world's highest-grade rare-earth deposits hosted in a weathered carbonatite. Mining is from an open pit, with ore concentrated on site and shipped for downstream processing. The 2024 Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve update (published 5 August 2024) delivered a 92% increase in Mineral Resources and a 63% increase in Ore Reserves, with a significant increase in contained heavy rare earths; Ore Reserves now include processing tailings averaging 7.3% TREO. During FY25 Lynas completed the construction phase of the Mt Weld expansion (expanded mining and processing capacity) and the staged commissioning of the Mt Weld Hybrid Power Station, with gas and solar assets operating and wind turbines to follow. Mineral Resources are reported above a 2.5% TREO cut-off and are inclusive of Ore Reserves.
