Copper-molybdenum porphyry system associated with hydrothermal breccias and porphyries in Miocene volcanics, ~150 km northeast of Santiago and 46 km northeast of Putaendo, San Felipe Province, in the same metallogenic belt as Rio Blanco-Los Bronces, Los Pelambres-El Pachon and El Teniente. Tenure: 52 exploitation concessions (10,771 ha) and 178 exploration concessions (44,940 ha) held via CMVH and SLM San Jose; 182 diamond holes (60,924 m) since 1993. The 2023 Tetra Tech PFS (effective February 20, 2023) outlines a low-strip (2.33) open pit feeding a 136,000 tpd plant with HPGR grinding, desalinated water and dry stacked filtered tailings over an initial 26-year life. Drilling under the 350-hole Revised Environmental License is suspended by a March 2022 Environmental Court injunction (vizcacha/Andean cat habitat); invalidation claims were rejected in January 2024 and remain under appeal.
