Lemhi Pass
Project information
Description
A REE and thorium exploration-stage property ~25 miles southeast of Salmon, Idaho, straddling the Idaho-Montana border in the southern Idaho REE-Th Belt, comprising 678 unpatented lode claims plus a State of Idaho mineral lease over ~13,560 acres. USGS recognizes Lemhi Pass as the #1 thorium prospect in the United States; REE/thorium mineralization occurs in monazite associated with phosphorus. Historic USGS sampling of 31 vein samples showed TREO of 0.073%-2.20%; IDR sampling returned up to 6% total rare earths, and a 2025 carbonatite discovery at the Lucky Horseshoe prospect assayed up to 6.14% total rare earth oxides (65% magnet REO). In Q4 2025 IDR completed an inaugural 2,056-metre phase 1 drill program. The company signed an MOU with Clean Core Thorium Energy to evaluate a domestic thorium-based nuclear fuel supply chain. No mineral reserves or resources have been established; 67 leased claims carry a 2% NSR.
