Single underground steelmaking coal mine. Located approximately 20 miles east of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, accessed by Hannah Creek road with rail transportation provided by CSX and river transportation on the Black Warrior River. Property comprises approximately 45,000 total acres, including 10,850 acres of leased mineral holdings. Acquired in April 2016 from Walter Energy. Preparation plant has a capacity to process 1,260 raw metric tons per hour and utilizes a skip system and ultrafine coal recovery system.
