Description
Conventional acid-leach uranium mill located in Garfield County, Utah, approximately 52 miles south of Hanksville. Property includes approximately 905 acres of surface and mineral fee lands. Constructed in 1980 by Plateau Resources and operated briefly in 1982, producing 27,825 pounds of U3O8. Acquired in August 2015 from Uranium One. Currently under care and maintenance with an active Radioactive Materials License; an amendment to convert to operational status is under review. Planned refurbishment includes adding a vanadium recovery circuit to process material from the Velvet-Wood and Slick Rock projects.
